Same 13th generation platform as the R730xd but with the 8 bay 3.5 inch or 16 bay 2.5 inch backplane rather than the dense 12 or 24 bay layout. If you are not filling 12 drives, this is the cheaper way into the same CPU, memory, and iDRAC8 experience.
Across 89 listings tracked in the last three days, the median total cost in USD including shipping is $450, and the lowest is $180. RackSniper flags a listing once it falls at or below 70 percent of the trailing 30 day median, which for this product means roughly $315 or less. Condition and configuration vary widely on used enterprise hardware, so treat the median as a reference point rather than a target.
